In Omaha, Nebraska, Borsheims, a renowned independent jeweler, has revealed comprehensive plans for a major overhaul of its flagship location. This extensive renovation, aptly named the “Golden Era,” is set to introduce a fresh, open-concept design across more than 20,000 square feet of retail space. The upgrade includes a newly designed luxury salon, dedicated to high-end jewelry collections, and the integration of immersive branded boutiques. The facade will also see a new gold treatment, paying homage to the company's legacy as Omaha's premier jeweler since 1870.
Karen Goracke, President and CEO of Borsheims, emphasized that the primary objective of this next-generation renovation is to redefine the customer journey, ushering it into a new era of luxury retail. The project is being spearheaded by Omaha-based HDR, a global architecture and engineering firm, with construction managed by Kiewit. Throughout the renovation period, the store will maintain its regular operations.

Construction is slated to commence in May, following the 2026 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting.
