Former Clemson Tigers first baseman and designated hitter, Collin Priest, has officially committed to play for the UCF Knights. This transfer is set to bolster UCF's baseball lineup, as Priest brings a strong offensive presence and valuable collegiate experience to the team.
Priest's Performance at Clemson
During his tenure at Clemson, Priest was a pivotal player for the Tigers. Although he missed the 2026 season due to a hamstring injury, his 2025 performance was remarkable. He started 57 of 59 games, achieving a .240 batting average, hitting 12 home runs, and recording 52 RBIs. His impressive .887 OPS and disciplined plate approach, evidenced by 47 walks, earned him third-team All-ACC honors.
Early Career Success at Michigan
Before joining Clemson, Priest made a significant impact during his freshman year at Michigan. In 56 games, he posted a .279 batting average, with 11 home runs, 11 doubles, and 30 RBIs, alongside a .578 slugging percentage. His outstanding debut season earned him a spot on the All-Big Ten Freshman Team, showcasing his early potential.

Priest recently returned to competitive action in the MLB Draft League, marking his first regular play since the 2025 season.
