Laco and Circula Unveil ProLab Anniversary Watch Collection

Instructions

Celebrating significant milestones in their respective histories, Laco marks its centenary while Circula observes its 70th anniversary. Both esteemed watch manufacturers, originating from Pforzheim, Germany's 'Golden City' for horology, have joined forces to introduce the 'ProLab' collaboration. This unique partnership has culminated in a dual-watch offering, designed to honor each brand's legacy and their shared commitment to the rich tradition of German watchmaking.

The Laco contribution to this collection is a field watch, housed in a 40mm sandblasted stainless steel case, emphasizing durability with 200 meters of water resistance. It features an AR sapphire crystal protecting a sand-colored dial with circular graining, enhanced by Old Radium Super-LumiNova for visibility. Meanwhile, Circula presents a Type-B Flieger model, also with a 40mm stainless steel case, but distinguished by its scratch-resistant treatment to 1,200 Vickers hardness and increased antimagnetic protection. Its black dial, inspired by the classic Type-B design, showcases large Arabic numerals and is fitted with Super-LumiNova BGW9 on the hands and markers. Both watches are powered by the reliable Sellita SW200-1 Elaboré automatic movement, known for its precision and 41-hour power reserve.

The ProLab anniversary collection is offered as an indivisible set, limited to just 170 packages, a number symbolizing the combined 170 years of both brands. Each set is meticulously presented in an aluminum case, accompanied by a gold-colored coin engraved with the limited-edition number. This collaboration between Uwe Rücker of Laco and Cornelius Huber of Circula exemplifies a spirit of unity and mutual respect within the competitive watchmaking industry, demonstrating that even rivals can converge to celebrate and advance their shared heritage.

This collaboration between Laco and Circula transcends a mere product launch; it's a testament to enduring craftsmanship and a celebration of collective history. Such initiatives inspire innovation and highlight the strength found in unity, proving that working together can elevate an entire industry. It reminds us that competition can be a catalyst for growth and collaboration can lead to truly exceptional outcomes, contributing positively to the legacy of watchmaking.
