Zrno, a 21-year-old freshman last season for the Scarlet Knights, hails from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he initiated his basketball career. During his single season at Rutgers, he participated in 34 games, starting 15 of them. He contributed an average of 6.5 points and 1.6 rebounds per contest for the Big Ten institution. Interestingly, one of his final appearances for Rutgers was against the very Huskies team he now joins, a game in which Washington secured a 79-72 victory, with Zrno tallying 2 points in 15 minutes.
A notable performance for Zrno last season occurred on January 17, where he scored a season-high 21 points against Wisconsin. Despite Rutgers' 96-87 loss in Madison, Zrno demonstrated his sharpshooting ability by hitting 5-of-10 shots from beyond the arc and adding 6 points from the free-throw line.
