The revised schedule places the two races on the famous Monte Carlo streets on May 1st and 2nd, 2027, occurring a week prior to the planned Berlin double-header. This modification addresses potential logistical challenges and driver availability issues that would have arisen from the original May 15th-16th dates, which coincided with WEC's Spa event—a crucial preparatory race for the Le Mans 24 Hours. Despite this resolution, a demanding sequence of three consecutive race weekends in Monaco, Berlin, and Spa awaits drivers participating in both championships. Furthermore, another calendar overlap remains, with the Shanghai E-Prix in July still scheduled on the same weekend as WEC's Sao Paulo round, forcing some competitors to make difficult choices between the two premier racing series. The 2026/27 Formula E season, featuring the new Gen4 machinery, is slated to commence in Jeddah in December, pending regional stability.
