A Dynamic Architectural Marvel at Mandalika International Circuit
The newly constructed Pertamina MotoGP Experience Gallery, conceptualized and brought to life by the esteemed architects at AT-LARS, has become a prominent feature of the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in Pujut, Indonesia. Unveiled in the year 2024, this impressive 1400 square meter gallery was meticulously curated by Miwa Negoro. The design team, including Raihan HJP and Angelika, under the leadership of Stephanie Larassati, focused on integrating a powerful, speed-inspired aesthetic with efficient modular building methods. The project's construction was expertly handled by Diles Architecture, with structural engineering support from Sucoot Co., LTD. The interior spaces, which boast striking elements such as glass and steel, were envisioned by this/PLAY, while Studio Woork provided additional engineering consultation. The meticulous project management was overseen by Idelaju. This collaborative effort resulted in a gallery that powerfully resonates with the circuit's high-energy atmosphere, offering visitors an immersive experience into the world of MotoGP. The compelling visuals were captured by photographers Muhamad Putera Wicaksana and Fernanda Fattahalim.
This architectural achievement highlights the power of design to not only construct buildings but also to capture the very spirit of an activity—in this case, the thrilling world of MotoGP. The gallery serves as a beacon of modern design principles, showcasing how functionality, aesthetics, and theme can merge to create a truly impactful experience. Its strategic location within a major international circuit ensures that it stands as a cultural landmark, offering both entertainment and an educational insight into the sport and its local connection.
