Homosexuality, also known as same-sex love, is one of the sexual orientations. It refers to people who only have love and sexual desire for the same sex. Individuals with this sexual orientation are called homosexuals. Homosexual behavior is also common in animals other than humans, but it is not the same as human homosexuality based on high-level emotions. On the contrary, when people have sex with the object that does not match their sexual orientation, they will feel abnormal pain, nausea or lack of sexual pleasure. It is completely unreliable to judge sexual orientation based solely on sexual behavior. It is important to distinguish between sexual orientation, sexual pleasure and sexual behavior.

Sexual orientation is a complex issue, and there is no difference between good and bad sexual orientations. There are many theories about the generation of sexual orientation. Today, most scientists, psychologists, and medical experts believe that sexual orientation is determined by nature. A scientific document published by the American Psychological Association (APA) shows that long-term experimental records have proved that homosexuality cannot be "corrected" and sexual orientation cannot be changed.

Many researchers have reached a relatively consistent view: homosexuality has a deep biomedical basis, and the sexual orientation of homosexuals is determined by homosexual genes, which cannot be changed by acquired factors, is not a choice, and is not something they can control.

Some homosexuals are already clearly aware of their sexual orientation at the age of 12, while others continue to explore their sexual orientation and gradually determine it between the ages of 12 and 16. Most homosexuals can clearly know their sexual orientation at the age of 20. However, some homosexuals may suddenly realize their sexual orientation and believe it firmly at the age of 40-50.

These situations are all normal. The early or late realization of homosexuals' sexual orientation is closely related to their personal experience, social and cultural environment. This is because heterosexuals have an overwhelming advantage in terms of numbers, and it is difficult for homosexuals to recognize their sexual orientation from an early age like heterosexuals in an environment full of heterosexuals. At best, young homosexuals will only wonder why they are not interested in the opposite sex like the people around them, but they will not realize that they are homosexuals. This is the origin of "acquired homosexuality". In fact, these "acquired homosexuals" are just homosexuals who realized their sexual orientation too late. Of course, the premise is that these people have never developed love and sexual desire for the opposite sex, otherwise they are bisexuals who realized their sexual orientation too late.
