The Thessaloniki Documentary Festival's industry hub, Agora, set to take place from March 8 to March 12, has revealed its impressive roster of featured projects. This annual gathering serves as a vital platform for film industry professionals, facilitating crucial networking and co-production ventures, attracting approximately 500 attendees.
Highlighting the innovative spirit of documentary filmmaking, the festival's Pitching Forum will showcase 14 diverse projects originating from 17 countries, focusing on the vibrant narratives emerging from Southeastern Europe and the Mediterranean. Concurrently, the Agora Docs in Progress segment will feature 10 documentaries that are currently in their post-production phase, also concentrating on the rich cinematic traditions of the same regions. Furthermore, Agora introduces its newest initiative, the XR Lab, which will host five projects dedicated to exploring the frontiers of Extended Reality (XR) and new media. Additionally, the Agora Boost program will support four Greek documentaries in various stages of development or post-production, offering hands-on workshops and guidance.
