West Texas Food Bank Adjusts Pantry Schedules

Instructions

The West Texas Food Bank (WTXFB) has announced changes to its pantry schedules at both the Odessa and Midland locations. Starting April 2, the organization will operate under a revised timetable designed to better serve the community. These updates aim to streamline food distribution while ensuring maximum accessibility for those in need.

In Odessa, the pantry will now be open from 9 a.m. to noon on the first and third Wednesdays of every month. This schedule adjustment allows volunteers and staff to focus their efforts during specific periods when demand is highest. By concentrating operations on these days, WTXFB hopes to provide more efficient service without compromising quality or availability.

Meanwhile, in Midland, the pantry will operate from 9 a.m. to noon on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Similar to the Odessa location, this timing was chosen based on historical data indicating peak attendance patterns among recipients. To accommodate all visitors, lines form early in the morning, with anyone present by noon guaranteed assistance.

These strategic adjustments reflect the organization's commitment to improving operational efficiency while maintaining an unwavering dedication to supporting local families facing food insecurity. The updated schedules were carefully planned to align with community needs and resource capacities.

With these new timings in place, WTXFB aims to enhance its ability to assist those who rely on their services regularly. By providing clear guidelines and predictable hours, the food bank ensures that individuals can plan accordingly and receive the support they require.
